Services

Disability Advocates assists adults with disabilities with their applications for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), which includes:

  • Working with clients to complete initial applications for SSDI and/or SSI.
  • Filing appeals for clients who have received a denial on their initial application for SSDI/SSI, called a “Request for Reconsideration.”
  • Filing appeals for clients to the hearing level to have their case heard by an Administrative Law Judge
  • Filing appeals for clients who have received an Unfavorable Decision at the Administrative Law Judge level to the Appeals Council.

What we do not do:

  • Continuing Disability Reviews
  • Overpayment Cases for SSI/SSDI
  • Disability applications for minor children
  • Appeals to Federal Court for individuals who have received a denial at the Appeals Council level.
  • Stand-alone Medicaid/Medicare applications or appeals. 
  • Housing for disabled individuals
  • Disability rights or discrimination issues
