$25 pays for a client’s transportation to a doctor’s appointment
$40 supports the cost of for medical records for a client
$60 covers the cost for a Case Manager to complete and file paperwork for an initial application for disability benefits
$150 pays for a Social Security Disability Specialist attorney to draft an appeal for a client to the Appeals Council
$500 covers the cost for a Social Security Disability Specialist attorney to represent a client at the Administrative Law Judge hearing level

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to Disability Advocates’ Client Emergency Fund. Dollars raised for the Client Emergency Fund assist low- and no-income clients with emergency needs while their disability applications are pending. Funds are paid directly to vendors rather than given directly to clients.
Examples of what your gift can do:
- Pay a monthly electric bill to avoid a shut-off
- Provide groceries, especially in circumstances where food stamps have been discontinued due to the new work requirements
- Assist with rent/housing costs, especially when an eviction notice has been received
- Cover co-pays for medical care or prescriptions
- Pay a phone bill to avoid disconnection, especially for clients who have upcoming phone hearings for their disability cases
