Services
Disability Advocates assists adults with disabilities with their applications for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), which includes:
- Working with clients to complete initial applications for SSDI and/or SSI.
- Filing appeals for clients who have received a denial on their initial application for SSDI/SSI, called a “Request for Reconsideration.”
- Filing appeals for clients to the hearing level to have their case heard by an Administrative Law Judge
- Filing appeals for clients who have received an Unfavorable Decision at the Administrative Law Judge level to the Appeals Council.
What we do not do:
- Continuing Disability Reviews
- Overpayment Cases for SSI/SSDI
- Disability applications for minor children
- Appeals to Federal Court for individuals who have received a denial at the Appeals Council level.
- Stand-alone Medicaid/Medicare applications or appeals.
- Housing for disabled individuals
- Disability rights or discrimination issues
